नैकान्तेन प्रमादो हि शक््य: कर्तु महीपतौ | नतु प्रमाद: कर्तव्य: कथंचिद् भूतिमिच्छता,राजाके पास रहनेवालोंसे कभी कोई प्रमाद हो ही नहीं, यह तो असम्भव है, परंतु जो अपना भला चाहता हो उसे किसी तरह उसके पास जान-बूझकर प्रमाद नहीं करना चाहिये
naikāntena pramādo hi śakyaḥ kartuṃ mahīpatau | na tu pramādaḥ kartavyaḥ kathaṃcid bhūtim icchatā ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে—ৰজাৰ ওচৰত থকা লোকসকলৰ পৰা কেতিয়াও ভুল নহ’ব, এইটো সম্পূৰ্ণভাৱে সম্ভৱ নহয়। কিন্তু যিয়ে নিজৰ মঙ্গল বিচাৰে, সি কোনোপধ্যেই ৰজাৰ সন্মুখত জেনে-বুজে অনাসক্তি/অবহেলা নকৰিব।
