राज्ञोऽभिषेकः, अराजकदोषः, दण्डधारणस्य आवश्यकता

अहनि् पूजयतो नित्यं संविभागेन पाण्डव । सर्वतस्तस्य कौन्तेय भैक्ष्याश्रमपर्द भवेत्,पाण्डुनन्दन! इसी प्रकार जो पूजनीय पुरुषोंको उनकी अभीष्ट वस्तुएँ देकर सदा सम्मानित करता है, उसे ब्रह्मचारियोंको प्राप्त होनेवाली गति मिलती है
ahani pūjayato nityaṃ saṃvibhāgena pāṇḍava | sarvatas tasya kaunteya bhaikṣyāśramapadaṃ bhavet ||
ভীষ্ম ক’লে—হে পাণ্ডৱ, হে কৌন্তেয়! যি ব্যক্তি প্ৰতিদিন ভাগ-বতৰা কৰি (সংবিভাগে) পূজনীয় সৎপুৰুষসকলক তেওঁলোকৰ ইষ্ট বস্তু দান কৰি নিৰন্তৰ সন্মান কৰে, সি ভৈক্ষ্য/ব্ৰহ্মচৰ্য-আশ্ৰমৰ গতি লাভ কৰে।
