Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: etad dhayaśiro rājann ākhyānaṃ tava kīrtitam | purāṇaṃ vedasamitaṃ yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||
হে ৰাজন! তুমি যি হয়শিৰো (হয়গ্ৰীৱ) আখ্যান বিষয়ে মোক সুধিছিলা—বেদসন্মত সেই প্ৰাচীন কাহিনী মই তোমাক বৰ্ণনা কৰি দিলোঁ।
