अहिंस्न: शुचिरक्षुद्रो निराशी: कर्मसंस्तुत: । आरण्यकपदोदभूता भागास्तत्रोपकल्पिता:

ahiṃsnaḥ śucir akṣudro nirāśīḥ karmasaṃstutaḥ | āraṇyakapadodbhūtā bhāgās tatropakalpitāḥ ||

ভীষ্মে ক’লে—তেওঁলোক অহিংস, শুচি, উদাৰ আৰু কামনাৰহিত আছিল; প্ৰশংসনীয় ভাৱে কৰ্মত প্ৰবৃত্ত হৈছিল। সেই যজ্ঞত দেৱতাসকলৰ ভাগ অৰণ্যজাত ফল-মূল আদি দ্ৰব্যৰ দ্বাৰাই সজাই তোলা হৈছিল।
