भीष्म उवाच
Respect for qualified moral and spiritual authority: when a ruler is grounded in dharma and trained in mokṣa-śāstra, his guidance should be followed without wavering, since it is presumed to align worldly duty with the higher aim of liberation.
Bhīṣma identifies a particular king (Janaka) as his own yajña-patron and praises his competence in dharma and liberation-teachings, urging the listener to execute whatever instructions that king gives, without doubt.
