Shloka 75

Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

सात्व॑ं जातिं श्रुतं वृत्तं भाव॑ प्रकृतिमात्मन: । कृत्यमागमने चैव वक्तुमरहसि तत्त्वतः,अतः संनन्‍्यासिनि! आपको अपनी जाति, शास्त्रज्ञान, चरित्र, अभिप्राय, स्वभाव एवं यहाँ आगमनका प्रयोजन भी यथार्थरूपसे बताना उचित है

sāttvaṁ jātiṁ śrutaṁ vṛttaṁ bhāvaṁ prakṛtim ātmanaḥ | kṛtyam āgamane caiva vaktum arhasi tattvataḥ ||

জনকে ক’লে—তোমাৰ সত্ত্ব, কুল/জাতি, শ্রুতি-জ্ঞান, আচৰণ, ভাব (উদ্দেশ্য), স্বভাৱ আৰু ইয়ালৈ অহাৰ কাৰ্য-প্ৰয়োজন—এই সকলো তত্ত্বতঃ সত্যকৈ কোৱা তোমাৰ উচিত। সেয়ে, হে সন্ন্যাসিনী, বিষয়বোৰ যিদৰে আছে সিদৰে বৰ্ণনা কৰা সমুচিত।
