तस्मात् पितुर्वच: कार्य न विचार्य कदाचन । पातकान्यपि पूयन्ते पितु: शासनकारिण:
tasmāt pitur vacaḥ kāryaṃ na vicārya kadācana | pātakāny api pūyante pituḥ śāsanakāriṇaḥ ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে— সেয়ে পিতাৰ বাক্য পালনীয়; কেতিয়াও তাত দ্বিধা বা পুনৰ্বিচাৰ কৰা উচিত নহয়। যি পিতাৰ আদেশ মানে, তাৰ পাপো শুদ্ধ হয়।
भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches that obedience to a father’s instruction is a strong component of dharma; such obedience is portrayed as so meritorious that it can even purify one’s sins.
