प्रयत्नेनापि चारक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता
prayatnenāpi cārakṣac cittaṃ putrasya vai pitā
শক্ৰে ক’লে—অতি চেষ্টা কৰিও পিতাই পুত্ৰৰ চিত্ত ৰক্ষা বা স্থিৰ কৰিব নোৱাৰিলে; কিয়নো অন্তৰৰ দৃঢ় সংকল্প আৰু আত্মসংযম নাথাকিলে মাতৃ-পিতৃৰ স্নেহ-যত্নো সীমাবদ্ধ হৈ পৰে।
शक्र उवाच
External guardianship—even by a well-intentioned parent—cannot fully protect a person’s inner mind; lasting safety depends on the individual’s own discipline and right understanding.
Śakra (Indra) comments on a situation where a father, despite trying hard, fails to keep his son’s mind on a wholesome or stable course, highlighting the moral that inner restraint cannot be imposed from outside.
