ब्राह्मणस्य पूर्वतरा वृत्तिः — The Earlier Ideal Conduct of a Brahmana

न चेदमचलं स्थानमनन्तं वापि कस्यचित्‌ । त्वं तु बालिशया बुद्धया ममेदमिति मन्‍्यसे

na cedam acalaṁ sthānam anantaṁ vāpi kasyacit | tvaṁ tu bāliśayā buddhyā mamedam iti manyase ||

এই পদ কোনোবাৰেই কাৰো বাবে অচল নহয়, কাৰো বাবে অনন্তও নহয়। তথাপি তুমি শিশুসুলভ মোহগ্ৰস্ত বুদ্ধিৰে ‘ই মোৰ’ বুলি ভাবিছা। ইন্দ্ৰপদো কেতিয়াও স্থায়ী বুলি প্ৰমাণিত হোৱা নাই—বহুতে তাক ভোগ কৰি গুচি গৈছে। সেয়ে ক্ষমতাক স্বত্ব বুলি আঁকোৱালি নধৰিবা; তাৰ অনিত্যতা বুজি ধৰ্ম আৰু বিনয়েৰে চলা।
