Daṇḍa as the Foundation of Social Order (दण्डप्रतिष्ठा)
यत्र श्यामो लोहिताक्षो दण्डश्चरति सूद्यत: । प्रजास्तत्र न मुहान्ते नेता चेत् साधु पश्यति
yatra śyāmo lohitākṣo daṇḍaś carati sūdyataḥ | prajāstatra na muhyante netā cet sādhu paśyati ||
য’ত দণ্ড—শ্যাম আৰু লোহিতাক্ষ—সদায় দণ্ড দিবলৈ উদ্যত হৈ বিচৰণ কৰে, আৰু য’ত শাসক অপৰাধসমূহৰ ওপৰত সতৰ্ক আৰু বিবেচনাপূৰ্ণ দৃষ্টি ৰাখে, ত’ত প্ৰজা ন বিভ্ৰান্ত হয়, ন প্ৰমাদ কৰে; ন্যায়সঙ্গত তত্ত্বাৱধান আৰু শৃঙ্খলাৰ বিশ্বাসযোগ্য উপস্থিতিতেই শাসন-ব্যৱস্থা স্থিৰ থাকে।
