तद्गचः संगतं श्रुत्वा लोमशो युक्तमर्थवत् | हर्षादुद्वीक्ष्य पलितं स्वागतेनाभ्यपूजयत्
tadgiraḥ saṅgataṃ śrutvā lomaśo yuktam arthavat | harṣād udvīkṣya palitaṃ svāgatenābhyapūjayat ||
তাৰ যুক্তিসংগত, সুসংবদ্ধ আৰু অৰ্থপূৰ্ণ বাক্য শুনি লোমশ আনন্দিত হ’ল; সি ধূসৰকেশী পালিতলৈ চাৱনি তুলি, সাদৰ স্বাগতেৰে সন্মান জনালে আৰু বহুত প্ৰশংসা কৰিলে।
भीष्म उवाच
Speech that is coherent (saṅgata), well-reasoned (yukta), and meaningful (arthavat) naturally commands respect; honoring such discourse is itself a dharmic response, reinforcing ethical communication and reverence for wisdom.
After hearing a well-argued and purposeful statement, the sage Lomaśa becomes pleased, looks attentively at the elderly speaker, and receives him with formal welcome and generous praise.
