Vetasa-Nīti: The Reed and the Flood (वेतस-नीति)

वेतसो वेगमायातं दृष्टवा नमति नापरे | सरिद्वेगेडव्यतिक्रान्ते स्थानमासाद्य तिष्ठति
Transliteration
vetaso vegam āyātaṃ dṛṣṭvā namati nāpare | sarid-vege ’py atikrānte sthānam āsādya tiṣṭhati ||
Translation
সাগৰে ক’লে—নদীৰ বেগ আহি থকা দেখি বেতস নুই পৰে; আন গছবোৰ নোয় নে। সেয়ে স্ৰোতৰ জোৰ পাৰ হ’লে সি পুনৰ নিজৰ ঠাই পাই থিয় হয়।
