प्रसन्नभा: पावकश्षोर्ध्वरश्मि: प्रदक्षिणावर्त शिखो विधूम: । पुण्या गन्धाश्वाहुतीनां भवन्ति जयस्यैतद् भाविनो रूपमाहु:
bhīṣma uvāca | prasannabhāḥ pāvakaś cordhvaraśmiḥ pradakṣiṇāvartaśikho vidhūmaḥ | puṇyā gandhāś cāhūtīnāṁ bhavanti jayasya etad bhāvino rūpam āhuḥ ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে—যেতিয়া যজ্ঞাগ্নি ধোঁৱা নোহোৱাকৈ জ্বলে, তাৰ শিখা নিৰ্মল আৰু স্থিৰ থাকে, অগ্নিজিহ্বা ওপৰলৈ উঠে বা সোঁফালে ঘূৰে, আৰু আহুতিৰ পৰা পবিত্ৰ সুগন্ধ প্ৰকাশ পায়—তেন্তে ইয়াক আসন্ন জয়ৰ মঙ্গললক্ষণ বুলি কোৱা হয়।
