Kurukṣetra–Samantapañcaka Māhātmya: King Kuru’s Ploughing and Indra’s Boon (प्रजापतेरुत्तरवेदिः समन्तपञ्चकं)

तपसोडर्ध प्रयच्छामि पाणिग्राहस्य सत्तम । नारदजीकी यह बात सुनकर वह ऋषियोंकी सभामें उपस्थित होकर बोली --'साधुशिरोमणे! आपमें-से जो कोई मेरा पाणिग्रहण करेगा, उसे मैं अपनी तपस्याका आधा भाग दे दूँगी”

tapasārdhaṃ prayacchāmi pāṇigrāhasya sattama | nāradī jī kī yaha bāta sunkara vaha ṛṣīṇāṃ sabhāmeṃ upasthita hokara bolī— ‘sādhūśiromaṇe! āpameṃ-se jo koī merā pāṇigrahaṇa karegā, use maiṃ apnī tapasyā kā ādhā bhāga de dūṃgī’ |

“যি শ্ৰেষ্ঠ পুৰুষে মোৰ পাণিগ্ৰহণ কৰিব, তাক মই মোৰ তপস্যাৰ অর্ধাংশ দিম।” এই কথা শুনি নাৰদৰ কন্যা ঋষিসভালৈ আহি ক’লে— “হে সাধুশিৰোমণি! আপোনালোকৰ মাজৰ যি কোনোবাই মোৰ পাণিগ্ৰহণ কৰিব, তাক মই মোৰ তপস্যাৰ ফলৰ অর্ধাংশ দিম।”
