Sauptika Parva, Adhyaya 8 — Dhṛṣṭadyumna-vadha and the Camp’s Nocturnal Rout

उनकी अंगुलियाँ पीछेकी ओर थीं। वे रूखे

pītvā ca śoṇitaṃ hṛṣṭāḥ prānṛtyan gaṇaśo 'pare | idaṃ param idaṃ medhyam idaṃ svādu iti cābruvan ||

সঞ্জয়ে ক’লে—তেওঁলোকৰ আঙুলিবোৰ পিছফালে ঘূৰি আছিল। তেওঁলোক ৰুক্ষ, কুৰুপ আৰু ভয়ংকৰ গর্জন কৰা। বহুতে ঘণ্টাৰ মালা পিন্ধিছিল; গলাত নীল চিহ্ন; দৰ্শনে অতিভয়ংকৰ। তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে স্ত্ৰী আৰু পুত্ৰও আছিল। তেওঁলোক অতিশয় নিষ্ঠুৰ আৰু নিৰ্দয়; তেওঁলোকলৈ চোৱা পৰ্যন্ত কঠিন। তাত ৰাক্ষসসকলৰ নানা ধৰণৰ ৰূপ দৃষ্টিগোচৰ হৈছিল। ৰক্ত পান কৰি কিছুমান আনন্দত উন্মত্ত হ’ল; আন কিছুমানে বেলেগ বেলেগ দলে দলে নাচিলে। তেওঁলোকে পৰস্পৰে ক’লে—“ই শ্ৰেষ্ঠ, ই পবিত্ৰ, ই অতি সোৱাদযুক্ত।”
