तत्रास्य बुद्धिर्विनयस्तत्र श्रेयश्व॒ पश्यति । जब मनुष्य मोहके वशीभूत हो हिताहितका निर्णय करनेमें असमर्थ हो जाय, तब उसे अपने सुहृदोंसे सलाह लेनी चाहिये। वहीं उसे बुद्धि और विनयकी प्राप्ति हो सकती है और वहीं उसे अपने हितका साधन भी दिखायी देता है
tatrāsya buddhir vinayas tatra śreyaś ca paśyati |
সেই ঠাইতে—বিশ্বাসযোগ্য হিতৈষী সুহৃদসকলৰ পৰামৰ্শত—মানুহে বুদ্ধি আৰু বিনয় লাভ কৰে, আৰু তাতেই নিজৰ শ্রেয় দেখা পায়। যেতিয়া মোহে আচ্ছন্ন হৈ মানুহ হিত-অহিত বিচাৰ কৰিব নোৱাৰে, তেতিয়া তাক সুহৃদসকলৰ উপদেশ ল’ব লাগে; তেওঁলোকৰ দ্বাৰাই বিবেক ঘূৰি আহে আৰু নিজৰ মঙ্গলৰ পথ দেখা যায়।
