Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
उत्तस्थौ पुत्रशोकार्ता ततः कृष्णा मनस्विनी । कृष्णं चापि महाबाहु: परिपप्रच्छ धर्मराट्,तब पुत्रशोकसे पीड़ित हुई मनस्विनी कृष्णा अनशन छोड़कर उठ गयी और महाबाहु धर्मराजने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे एक बात पूछी
uttasthau putraśokārtā tataḥ kṛṣṇā manasvinī | kṛṣṇaṃ cāpi mahābāhuḥ paripapraccha dharmarāṭ ||
তাৰপিছত পুত্ৰশোকে কাতৰ হলেও দৃঢ়চিত্তা কৃষ্ণা (দ্ৰৌপদী) উপবাস ত্যাগ কৰি উঠিল; আৰু মহাবাহু ধৰ্মৰাজ যুধিষ্ঠিৰেও শ্ৰীকৃষ্ণক প্ৰশ্ন কৰিলে।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
In the wake of catastrophic loss, dharma is sought through counsel rather than impulse: grief may compel action, but righteous response requires inquiry, reflection, and guidance from a trusted moral authority.
Draupadī, overwhelmed by the death of her sons, ends her fast and rises; immediately after, Yudhiṣṭhira turns to Kṛṣṇa with a question, indicating a transition from mourning to deliberation about what should be done next.
