Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the grim ethical tension of dharma in war: martial prowess can be admirable as disciplined k63atriya action, yet its immediate fruit is suffering and destruction. It invites reflection on how skill and duty, when exercised in battle, inevitably carry heavy human and material cost.

Sanjaya reports to Dhtar0163tra that Karna is overwhelming the foremost enemy warriors with arrows, neutralizing their weapons and destroying many chariots, horses, and elephants, while inflicting pain on the principal champions of the opposing side.
