घोरमायोधन जज्ञे प्रेतताजपुरोपमम् । जो उनमें प्रवेश करते, उन्हें वे डुबो देती थीं और क्षत्रियोंके मनमें भय उत्पन्न करती थीं। नरव्याप्र! वहाँ गरजते हुए मांसभक्षी जन्तुओंके शब्दसे वह युद्धस्थल प्रेतराजकी नगरीके समान भयानक जान पड़ता था
sañjaya uvāca | ghoram āyodhanaṃ jajñe pretarāja-puro'upamam |
সঞ্জয়ে ক’লে—এটা ভয়ংকৰ যুদ্ধক্ষেত্ৰ জন্মিল, প্ৰেতৰাজৰ নগৰীৰ দৰে। যিসকলে তাত প্ৰৱেশ কৰিছিল, সি যেন তেওঁলোকক ডুবাই পেলাইছিল আৰু ক্ষত্ৰিয়সকলৰ মনত ভয় জগাই তুলিছিল। নৰব্যাঘ্ৰ! তাত গর্জন কৰা মাংসভক্ষী জন্তুৰ শব্দে সেই ৰণস্থল যমৰ নগৰীৰ দৰে ভয়াবহ বোধ হৈছিল।
