द्रोण–सात्यकि-युद्धम्
Droṇa–Sātyaki Engagement
स तु द्रोणं समासाद्य व्यूहस्य प्रमुखे स्थितम् । कृताञ्जलिरिदं वाक््यं कृष्णस्यानुमते5ब्रवीत्,व्यूहके मुहानेपर खड़े हुए आचार्य द्रोणके पास पहुँचकर अर्जुनने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णकी अनुमति ले हाथ जोड़कर इस प्रकार कहा--
sa tu droṇaṃ samāsādya vyūhasya pramukhe sthitam | kṛtāñjalir idaṃ vākyaṃ kṛṣṇasyānumate 'bravīt ||
তাৰ পিছত ব্যূহৰ আগফালে অৱস্থিত আচার্য দ্ৰোণৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈ, অৰ্জুনে শ্ৰীকৃষ্ণৰ অনুমতি লৈ হাত জোৰ কৰি এই কথা ক’লে।
संजय उवाच
Even in a righteous war, conduct should remain disciplined: Arjuna does not rush into violence blindly but approaches his elder-teacher with folded hands and speaks only with Kṛṣṇa’s assent, reflecting restraint, respect, and guided action (dharma under wise counsel).
Sañjaya reports that Arjuna goes up to Droṇa, who is positioned at the head of the enemy formation, and—after receiving Kṛṣṇa’s approval—addresses him respectfully with joined palms, introducing the speech that follows.
