नारद उवाच
As a colophon, the verse chiefly teaches attentiveness to textual framing: the Mahābhārata preserves war-events as moral history by organizing them into named episodes and chapters, signaling that remembrance and interpretation (dharma-reflection) are integral to the narrative.
This line does not advance the plot; it formally closes Adhyāya 63 of the Droṇa Parva, within the Abhimanyu-slaying section, identifying the completed episode as the ‘Ṣoḍaśarājakīya’ (Sixteen Kings) upākhyāna.
