संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how the belief that victory is already secured can intensify collective aggression: exhilaration and anger together generate a powerful momentum that can overwhelm restraint, a caution relevant to ethical leadership and self-control in conflict.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the warriors, thrilled and convinced of their own victory, became further inflamed with rage, and from that emotional state a great onrush of martial energy manifested in the army.
