The verse frames the fall of Duryodhana as both a destined outcome and a matter of tactical means: even when an end is foreseen, it is achieved through concrete human action and strategy, raising the ethical tension of war where dharma is pursued amid violence.
Vāyudeva addresses a Pāṇḍava, announcing that Bhīma will be the slayer of Duryodhana and promising to explain the method for that killing; simultaneously, the battlefield atmosphere intensifies as a loud, tumultuous sound swells toward the enemy ranks.
