Droṇa’s sweeping assault and the Abhimanyu–Jayadratha close-quarters episode (द्रोणस्य भीषणव्यचरितम् / सौभद्र-जयद्रथ-संनिपातः)
यत्नमाना: प्रयत्नेन द्रोणानीकविशातने । न शेकुः सृञ्जया युद्धे तद्धि द्रोणेन पालितम्
yatnamānāḥ prayatnena droṇānīka-viśātane | na śekuḥ sṛñjayā yuddhe taddhi droṇena pālitam | āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam |
সঞ্জয়ে ক’লে—দ্ৰোণৰ সেনাব্যূহ ভাঙিবলৈ সৃঞ্জয়সকলে অতি প্ৰচেষ্টাৰে যুঁজিলেও সেই যুদ্ধত সফল হ’ব নোৱাৰিলে; কিয়নো সেই বাহিনী দ্ৰোণাচাৰ্যই দৃঢ়ভাৱে ৰক্ষা কৰিছিল। আৰু বিশ্বস্ত লোকৰ দ্বাৰা ভাৰদ্বাজপুত্ৰ দ্ৰোণৰ উদ্দেশ্য শীঘ্ৰে জনা গ’ল।
