इदमड्िरसे प्रादाद् देवेशो वर्म भास्वरम् | तस्माद् बृहस्पति: प्राप ततः प्राप पुरंदर:,देवेश्वर! ब्रह्माजीने यह तेजस्वी कवच अंगिराको दिया था। उनसे बृहस्पतिजीने प्राप्त किया था। बृहस्पतिजीसे वह इन्द्रको मिला
idam aṅgirase prādād deveśo varma bhāsvaram | tasmād bṛhaspatiḥ prāpa tataḥ prāpa purandaraḥ ||
অৰ্জুন ক’লে— দেৱেশ্বৰে এই দীপ্তিমান কবচ অঙ্গিৰাক দিছিল। অঙ্গিৰাৰ পৰা বৃহস্পতিয়ে পালে, আৰু বৃহস্পতিৰ পৰা পুৰন্দৰ (ইন্দ্ৰ) ই লাভ কৰিলে।
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights that sacred power (here, a radiant armor) gains authority through dharmic provenance: a divine gift transmitted through venerable figures. Such lineage implies rightful use and reinforces ethical legitimacy in a war setting.
Arjuna recounts the origin-history of a brilliant protective armor: it was first bestowed by the lord of the gods upon the sage Aṅgiras, then received by Bṛhaspati, and finally obtained by Indra (Purandara).
