बाढमित्येवमुक्त्वा तु राक्षसो घोरदर्शन: । प्रययौ सिंहनादेन यत्रार्जुनसुतो युवा,“बहुत अच्छा” ऐसा कहकर वह भयानक दिखायी देनेवाला राक्षस सिंहनाद करके जहाँ नवयुवक अर्जुन-कुमार इरावान् था, उस स्थानपर गया
bāḍham ity evam uktvā tu rākṣaso ghoradarśanaḥ | prayayau siṃhanādena yatrārjunasuto yuvā ||
“ভাল” বুলি কৈ, ভয়ংকৰ-দৰ্শনৰ সেই ৰাক্ষস সিংহনাদ কৰি য’ত অৰ্জুনৰ যুৱ পুত্ৰ ইৰাৱান আছিল, সেই ঠাইলৈ গ’ল।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a wartime ethic where aggression often manifests first as psychological warfare—roaring, threats, and displays of terror—signaling how adharma can operate through intimidation even before physical combat begins.
After agreeing (“bāḍham”), a dreadful-looking rākṣasa departs, roaring like a lion, and heads toward the location of Arjuna’s young son, Irāvān—setting up an imminent confrontation.
