अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

राजन! नरेश्वर! इस महान् संकटको पाकर भी स्थिरता-पूर्वक युद्धका यथावत् वृतान्त जैसा मैं बता रहा हूँ सुनिये ।। भीमसेन: सुनिशितैर्बाणर्भित््वा महाचमूम् । आससाद ततो वीर: सर्वान् दुर्योधनानुजान्,वीर भीमसेनने तीखे बाणोंसे आपकी विशाल सेनाको विदीर्ण करके दुर्योधनके सभी भाइयोंपर आक्रमण किया
sañjaya uvāca |
rājan nareśvara imaṁ mahāntaṁ saṅkaṭaṁ prāpya api sthiratā-pūrvakaṁ yuddhasya yathāvat vṛttāntaṁ yathā ahaṁ bravīmi tathā śṛṇu ||
bhīmasenaḥ suniśitaiḥ bāṇaiḥ bhittvā mahācamūm |
āsasāda tato vīraḥ sarvān duryodhanānujān ||
হে ৰাজন, হে নৰেশ্বৰ! এই মহা সংকটতো মন স্থিৰ কৰি শুনা; যুদ্ধ যিদৰে ঘটিছিল তেনেদৰেই মই কওঁ। তাৰ পিছত বীৰ ভীমসেনে তীক্ষ্ণ বাণে তোমাৰ বিশাল সেনাক বিদীৰ্ণ কৰি দুর্যোধনৰ সকলো অনুজৰ ওপৰত ঝাঁপি পৰিল।
