भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)

रुरोध सर्वत:ः पार्थ: शरै: कनकभूषणै: । शलभोंकी श्रेणीके समान अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी उस वर्षाको अर्जुनने स्वर्णभूषित बाणोंद्वारा सब ओरसे रोक दिया ।। तत्र तल्‍लाघवं दृष्टवा बीभत्सोरतिमानुषम्‌,राजेन्द्र! अर्जुनकी वह अलौकिक फुर्ती देख देवता, दानव, गन्धर्व, पिशाच, नाग तथा राक्षस साधु-साधु (वाह-वाह) कहकर उनकी प्रशंसा करने लगे

sañjaya uvāca |

rurodha sarvataḥ pārthaḥ śaraiḥ kanakabhūṣaṇaiḥ |

tatra tallāghavaṁ dṛṣṭvā bībhatsor atimānuṣam |

rājendra devatā dānavā gandharvāḥ piśācā nāgā rākṣasāś ca sādhv iti sādhv iti praśaśaṁsuḥ ||

সঞ্জয়ে ক’লে—তেতিয়া পাৰ্থ (অৰ্জুন) সোনাৰে ভূষিত বাণেৰে সেই অস্ত্ৰ-শস্ত্ৰৰ বৰষুণক চাৰিওফালৰ পৰা ৰোধ কৰিলে। তাত বীভৎসুৰ অতিমানৱীয় দ্ৰুততা আৰু কৌশল দেখি, হে ৰাজেন্দ্ৰ, দেৱ, দানৱ, গন্ধৰ্ব, পিশাচ, নাগ আৰু ৰাক্ষসসকলে “সাধু! সাধু!” বুলি প্ৰশংসা কৰিলে।
