विशीर्णबन्धने तस्मिन् गते कृष्णाजिने महीम्
viśīrṇabandhane tasmin gate kṛṣṇājine mahīm, vidaśyāsthen valmīkaṁ viveśātha sa kuṇḍale |
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে—বান্ধনি ছিঁড়ি কৃষ্ণাজিনখন মাটিত পৰাৰ লগে লগে এটা সাপৰ দৃষ্টি তাত পৰিল। সি আছিল ঐৰাৱত-কুলত জন্মা তক্ষক। মৃগচর্মৰ ভিতৰত থোৱা মণিময় কুণ্ডলযুগল দেখি, সি সিহঁতক দাঁতে চেপি ধৰি তৎক্ষণাৎ এটা বাঁবিত (ৱল্মীকত) সোমাই গ’ল।
