Mokṣa-dharma Yoga-Upadeśa: Equanimity, Sense-Restraint, and Vision of the Ātman (आत्मदर्शन-योगोपदेशः)
तस्योपदेशं वक्ष्यामि यथावत् तन्निबोध मे । यैद्वरिश्षारयन्नित्यं पश्यत्यात्मानमात्मनि
tasyopadeśaṁ vakṣyāmi yathāvat tan nibodha me | yair dhāraṇābhiḥ sadā yuktaḥ paśyaty ātmānam ātmani ||
মই তাৰ যথাযথ উপদেশ কৈছোঁ—মোৰ কথা ভালদৰে বুজা। যি নিয়মে যোগী নিত্য অভ্যাসে মনক অন্তৰ্মুখ কৰি এই দেহৰ ভিতৰতে সংযত কৰি, আত্মাৰ ভিতৰত আত্মাক দৰ্শন কৰে—সেয়া মোৰ পৰা শুনা।
ब्राह्मण उवाच
The verse introduces a disciplined method of inner practice: through steady concentration (dhāraṇā) and restraint, the yogin turns the mind inward and realizes the eternal Self, perceiving the Self within the Self rather than seeking fulfillment externally.
A brāhmaṇa speaker begins a formal instruction, asking the listener to attend carefully. He signals that he will explain the practical means by which a yogin controls the mind and attains direct inner vision of the Self.
