धृतराष्ट्रस्य स्पर्शाभिलाषः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Request for Touch and Permission for Tapas

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | saṃdhivigraham apy atra paśyethā rājasattama | dviyonim vividhopāyaṃ bahukalpaṃ yudhiṣṭhira ||

ধৃতৰাষ্ট্ৰে ক’লে—হে ৰাজশ্ৰেষ্ঠ যুধিষ্ঠিৰ! ইয়াত সন্ধি আৰু বিগ্ৰহ (যুদ্ধ) দুয়োটাৰ প্ৰতিও দৃষ্টি ৰাখিবা। শত্রু বলৱান হ’লে তাৰ সৈতে সন্ধি, আৰু দুৰ্বল হ’লে তাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ আৰম্ভ—এই দুয়াই সন্ধি-বিগ্ৰহৰ দ্বিবিধ আধাৰ। ইয়াৰ প্ৰয়োগৰ উপায় নানাবিধ, প্ৰকাৰো বহু।
