Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
ऋषीणां सर्वलोकेषु यानि ते यान्ति देवता: । दमेन यानि नृपते गच्छन्ति परमर्षय:
ṛṣīṇāṃ sarvalokeṣu yāni te yānti devatāḥ | damena yāni nṛpate gacchanti paramarṣayaḥ ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে—হে ৰাজন, সকলো লোকত দেৱতাসকলে যি দিব্য অৱস্থা লাভ কৰে, পৰম ঋষিসকলেও দম (ইন্দ্ৰিয়-সংযম)ৰ দ্বাৰাই সেই একে অৱস্থা লাভ কৰে। সেয়ে ইন্দ্ৰিয়-নিগ্ৰহ আৰু শৃঙ্খলিত আচৰণক পৰম গতি লাভৰ প্ৰত্যক্ষ উপায় বুলি ঘোষণা কৰা হৈছে।
