Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
अस्मिन्नहं टद्रुमे जात: साधुभिश्न गुणैर्युत: । बालभावेन संगुप्त: शत्रुभिश्षल न धर्षित:
asminn ahaṃ tad-drume jātaḥ sādhubhiś ca guṇair yutaḥ | bāla-bhāvena saṃguptaḥ śatrubhiś ca na dharṣitaḥ ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে—এই গছতেই মোৰ জন্ম; ইয়াতেই থাকি মই সজ্জনসকলৰ প্ৰিয় গুণেৰে গুণান্বিত হৈ ডাঙৰ হ’লোঁ। শিশুক যেন ৰক্ষকে আগলে ৰাখে, তেনেকৈ এই গছে মোক ৰক্ষা কৰিলে; শত্রুসকলে মোক দমন বা অপমান কৰিব নোৱাৰিলে।
