शम्बर उवाच नासूयामि यदा वित्रान्‌ ब्राह्ममेव च मे मतम्‌ । शास्त्राणि वदतो विप्रान्‌ सम्मन्यामि यथासुखम्‌

Transliteration

śambara uvāca | nāsūyāmi yadā viprān brāhmam eva ca me matam | śāstrāṇi vadato viprān samman yāmi yathāsukham |

Translation

শম্বৰাসুৰে ক’লে—মই ব্ৰাহ্মণসকলৰ প্ৰতি কেতিয়াও দোষদৰ্শন বা বিদ্বেষ পোষণ নকৰোঁ। যি ব্ৰাহ্ম—শাস্ত্ৰসম্মত আৰু সদাচাৰযুক্ত—সেয়াই মোৰ মত। শাস্ত্ৰ বৰ্ণনা কৰা বিপ্ৰসকলক মই সন্মান কৰোঁ আৰু যিমান পাৰোঁ সিমান তেওঁলোকৰ সুখ-সহায় কৰোঁ।
