(Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
etaddhi paramaṁ brahma paraṁ brahmādhigacchati | ṛṣayaś caiva devāś ca stuvanty etena tatparam ||
The verse teaches that sincere, properly directed praise (stuti/stotra) of the Supreme is not merely ceremonial: it is a spiritual means that leads to realization/attainment of the highest Brahman, validated by the practice of sages and gods.
Vāyudeva is speaking, commending a particular hymn/teaching just presented as ‘supreme,’ and stating that through it one reaches the highest reality; he adds that ṛṣis and devas themselves use this same mode of praise to extol the Supreme.
