स वरैश्छन्दितस्तेन नूपो वचनमत्रवीत् । सहस्रबाहुर्भूयां वै चमूमध्ये गृहेडन्यथा
sa varaiś chanditas tena nūpo vacanam abravīt | sahasrabāhur bhūyāṃ vai camūmadhye gṛhe ’nyathā ||
ভীষ্মে ক’লে—সেই ঋষিয়ে বৰ বিচাৰিবলৈ উদ্দীপিত কৰাত ৰজাই ক’লে—“যুদ্ধত, সেনাৰ মাজত, মই সহস্ৰবাহু হওঁ; কিন্তু গৃহত অন্যথা, অৰ্থাৎ দুটা বাহুই থাকক। ৰণভূমিত সকলো সৈনিকে মোৰ হাজাৰ বাহু দেখক।”
