ते पूज्यास्ते नमस्कार्या वर्तेथास्तेषु पुत्रवत् । ते हि लोकानिमान् सर्वान् धारयन्ति मनीषिण:
te pūjyās te namaskāryā varte thās teṣu putravat | te hi lokān imān sarvān dhārayanti manīṣiṇaḥ ||
তেওঁলোক পূজ্য, তেওঁলোক নমস্কাৰ্য। সৎপুত্ৰে পিতাৰ প্ৰতি যিদৰে আচৰণ কৰে, তেনেদৰে তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰতি আচৰণ কৰা; কিয়নো মনীষী ব্ৰাহ্মণসকলে এই সকলো লোক ধাৰণ কৰি ৰাখে।
भीष्म उवाच
One should honor and salute Brāhmaṇas and relate to them with filial respect, because the wise—through learning, counsel, and preservation of dharma—are portrayed as sustaining the moral and cosmic order of the worlds.
In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues his post-war instruction on dharma, giving prescriptive guidance on proper social and ethical conduct; here he emphasizes reverence toward Brāhmaṇas as a foundational duty.
