आधारनिलयोअ<थधाता पुष्पहास: प्रजागर: । ऊर्ध्वग: सत्पथाचार: प्राणद: प्रणव: पण:

bhīṣma uvāca | ādhāra-nilayo 'dhātā puṣpa-hāsaḥ prajāgaraḥ | ūrdhva-gaḥ satpathācāraḥ prāṇa-daḥ praṇavaḥ paṇaḥ ||

ভীষ্মে ক’লে—তেওঁ সকলো ভূতৰ আধাৰ আৰু নিলয়; অধাতা—স্বয়ংস্থিত, যাৰ কোনো নিৰ্মাতা নাই। তেওঁৰ হাঁহি পুষ্পৰ দৰে বিকশিত; তেওঁ সদা জাগ্ৰত, নিত্যপ্ৰবুদ্ধ। তেওঁ সৰ্বোচ্চে অধিষ্ঠিত আৰু সৎপথৰ আচাৰ ধৰি স্থাপন কৰে। তেওঁ প্ৰাণদাতা—পতিতকো জীৱন উভতাই দিয়ে; তেওঁেই প্ৰণৱ ‘ওঁ’, আৰু তেওঁেই ‘পণ’—যি সকলোৰে সৈতে যথাযথ, ন্যায়সঙ্গত ব্যৱহাৰ কৰে॥

The verse teaches that the Supreme is both transcendent and immanent: the foundational support of the world, self-existent, ever-awake, the very standard of righteous conduct, and the life-giver.
