Generosity (dāna) is presented as a defining mark of noble beings: those inclined to giving become प्रियदर्शना—pleasing and dear to all—and are remembered as authoritative exemplars, even traced to Brahmā’s ancient instruction.
Śrī Mahādeśvara addresses Devī and identifies a class of beings characterized by charitable disposition, noting that Brahmā had earlier spoken about them—framing them as models within the broader Anuśāsana-Parva discourse on dharma and right conduct.
