The verse frames certain forms of sexual misconduct and deluded moral judgment as adharma and presents a consequential result—loss of virility/masculine capacity—expressed through the term klībatva.
Śrīmahēśvara is speaking in an instructive mode within Anuśāsana-parvan, delivering a moral-ethical admonition that links improper conduct (durācāra) and ‘unnatural’ sexual indulgence (viyonau maithune ratāḥ) with an adverse outcome.
