Educational Q&A

Deliberately harming creatures—whether with crude objects or weapons—and provoking conflict is a mark of a corrupted, malicious intellect; such conduct is ethically blameworthy and opposed to dharma.

Śrīmaheśvara addresses a woman (“O fair one”) and describes the behavior of a cruel person: he injures living beings using whatever means available and actively incites violence, highlighting the moral fault in such aggression.
