उपवासे बलौ चापि ताम्रपात्रं विशिष्यते । बलिकभभिक्षा तथार्घ्य च पितृणां च तिलोदकम्
Baladeva uvāca: upavāse balau cāpi tāmrāpātraṁ viśiṣyate | balikabhikṣā tathārghyaṁ ca pitṝṇāṁ ca tilodakam |
বলদেৱে ক’লে—উপবাস-সঙ্কল্প আৰু বলি-অৰ্পণত তাম্ৰপাত্ৰ বিশেষ শ্ৰেষ্ঠ বুলি গণ্য। পূজাৰ উপচাৰ, ভিক্ষা, অৰ্ঘ্য আৰু পিতৃসকলৰ বাবে তিল-মিশ্ৰিত জল তাম্ৰপাত্ৰৰ দ্বাৰাই দিয়া উচিত; নহ’লে তাৰ ফল অতি সামান্য হয়। এই কথা অতি গূঢ়, গোপনীয় উপদেশৰূপে কোৱা হৈছে। এইদৰে আচৰণ কৰিলে দেৱতাসকল সন্তুষ্ট হয়।
