उपवासफलात्मकविधिः — Upavāsa as Yajña-Equivalent Merit

निस्तरेदेकभक्तेन वैशाखं यो जितेन्द्रिय: । नरो वा यदि वा नारी ज्ञातीनां श्रेष्ठतां ब्रजेत्
nistared ekabhaktena vaiśākhaṃ yo jitendriyaḥ | naro vā yadi vā nārī jñātīnāṃ śreṣṭhatāṃ brājet ||
যি ব্যক্তি ইন্দ্ৰিয়জয়ী হৈ একবেলা আহাৰৰ ব্ৰতে বৈশাখ মাহ পালন কৰে, সি (পাপ-দুখৰ পৰা) পাৰ হয়। সি পুৰুষ হওক বা নাৰী, নিজ জ্ঞাতিসকলৰ মাজত শ্ৰেষ্ঠতা লাভ কৰে।
