Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent
गुरोरुष्प सकाशे तु दशवर्षशतानि स: । अनुज्ञात: कचो गन्तुमियेष त्रिदशालयम्,कचने एक हजार वर्षोतक गुरुके समीप रहकर अपना व्रत पूरा कर लिया। तब घर जानेकी अनुमति मिल जानेपर कचने देवलोकमें जानेका विचार किया
guror uśpasa-kāśe tu daśa-varṣa-śatāni saḥ | anujñātaḥ kaco gantum iyeṣa tridaśālayam ||
গুৰু উশনসৰ সান্নিধ্যত শত দশক—অৰ্থাৎ সহস্ৰ বছৰ—থাকি কচে নিজৰ ব্ৰত সম্পূৰ্ণ কৰিলে। তাৰ পাছত বিদায়ৰ অনুমতি পোৱাত সি ত্ৰিদশালয়, দেৱলোকলৈ যোৱাৰ সংকল্প কৰিলে।
