कण्व उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic responsibility toward those left vulnerable: once an agent has fulfilled a goal and departs, the moral weight shifts to the surrounding community or guardians to ensure safety and care, especially in a dangerous environment.
Kaṇva narrates that, after completing her purpose, the departing figure goes swiftly to Indra’s court, while the scene is set in a lonely forest described as dangerous—frequented by lions and tigers—highlighting the precarious situation of the pregnant one left there.
