Garuḍa’s Breach of the Amṛta-Guard and Boons with Viṣṇu; Encounter with Indra (Ādi-parva, Adhyāya 29)
तमुवाच खगश्रेष्ठ तत्र रोहिणपादप: । अतिप्रवृद्ध: सुमहानापतन्तं मनोजवम्,वहीं एक बहुत बड़ा विशाल वटवृक्ष था। उसने मनके समान तीव्र-वेगसे आते हुए पक्षियोंके सरदार गरुडसे कहा
tam uvāca khagaśreṣṭha tatra rohiṇapādapaḥ | atipravṛddhaḥ sumahān āpatantaṃ manojavam ||
তাত ‘ৰোহিণ’ নামৰ এটা অতিবৃদ্ধ, অতি বৃহৎ গছ আছিল। মনৰ দৰে বেগেৰে ঝাঁপি অহা পক্ষিশ্ৰেষ্ঠ গৰুড়ক দেখি সি তাক সম্বোধন কৰি ক’লে।
कश्यप उवाच
Great power and speed should be guided by discernment; even the strongest must pause to listen to timely counsel, especially when their movement may endanger others.
As Garuḍa approaches at tremendous speed, a huge tree named Rohiṇa speaks to him, initiating a brief exchange that interrupts sheer momentum with warning or advice.
