कश्यप उवाच
Strength in a righteous undertaking is ideally grounded in sacred knowledge, purity, and blessing—here symbolized by the Vedas and ‘rahasyas’ invoked as Garuḍa’s protective power rather than mere physical force.
Kaśyapa blesses Garuḍa, invoking the power of the Vedas and sacred mysteries for his forthcoming struggle; after receiving this blessing, Garuḍa proceeds to the nearby lake (hṛda).
