समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

समेत्य त॑ द्विजास्ताश्न तत्रैव निधनं गता: । एततन्नामाभिनिर्वत्तं तस्य देशस्य वै द्विजा:,ब्राह्मणो! वे सब सेनाएँ वहाँ इकट्टी हुईं और वहीं नष्ट हो गयीं। द्विजवरो! इसीसे उस देशका नाम समन्तपंचकः) पड़ गया
sametya te dvijāstāś ca tatraiva nidhanaṃ gatāḥ | etat tannāmābhinirvṛttaṃ tasya deśasya vai dvijāḥ ||
হে ব্ৰাহ্মণসকল! সেই সকলো সেনা তাতেই একত্ৰিত হৈ তাতেই বিনষ্ট হ’ল। হে দ্বিজশ্ৰেষ্ঠসকল! এই ঘটনাৰ ফলতেই সেই দেশৰ নাম ‘সমন্তপঞ্চক’ স্থিৰ হ’ল।
