समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

त॑ दुष्टभावं॑ विज्ञाय व्यासस्यागमन द्रुतम् । निर्याणप्रतिषेधश्व सुरभ्याख्यानमेव च,दुर्योधनके इस दूषित भावको जानकर महर्षि व्यास झटपट वहाँ आ पहुँचे और उन्होंने दुर्योधनकी यात्राका निषेध कर दिया। इसी प्रसंगमें सुरभिका आख्यान भी है
taṁ duṣṭabhāvaṁ vijñāya vyāsasyāgamanaṁ drutam | niryāṇa-pratiṣedhaś ca surabhy-ākhyānam eva ca ||
দুৰ্যোধনৰ এই দুষ্ট অভিপ্ৰায় জানি মহর্ষি ব্যাস তৎক্ষণাৎ তাত উপস্থিত হ’ল। তেওঁ দুৰ্যোধনক যাত্ৰাত ওলাই যোৱাত নিষেধ কৰিলে; আৰু এই প্ৰসঙ্গতেই সুৰভীৰ আখ্যানো বৰ্ণিত হৈছে।
