FAQs

This verse presents Vāstoṣpati as the presiding lord of the dwelling/site whose japa is performed (in the Īśāna corner) to stabilize and sanctify the space during ritual observance.

It does not describe the soul’s post-death journey; instead, it belongs to the Ācāra/Vāstu-oriented instructions, emphasizing correct directional worship and mantra-japa for purity and order in ritual life.

If performing a traditional house rite, follow disciplined placement (directions), invocation (āvāhana) into a kalaśa, and focused japa—treating the home as a consecrated space governed by dharmic order.
